KMR Arts: New Gallery in Washington Depot Showcases Establishes and Emerging Photographers

“H2O” Opens Saturday, August 25

August 7, 2007-- Photography consultant Kathy McCarver Root and her gallery, KMR Arts, proudly announce the opening of its second show of fine art photography, entitled “H2O, A Summer Journey From Backwoods to Beach to Backyard.” After the initial success of its inaugural show, “Buds and Bugs,” McCarver Root has assembled this show because, as she says, “Water is a necessity for life.”

On August 25, KMR Arts will open it latest exhibit, “H2O” which will include works by Gail Albert Halaban, Harry Callahan, Ken Collins, Miki Duisterhof, Andreas Feininger, Elijah Gowin, Frank Jay Haynes, Chip Hooper, Michael Kenna, Karine Laval, O. Winston Link, Marcia Lippman, Laurent Millet, Len Prince, Leslie Sokolow, Gigi Stoll, Charles H. Traub, and Henry Wessel. In addition to a broad selection of photographers, the show will also include various forms of photography such as toned prints, pristine silver prints, dye transfer prints, and vintage prints from the mid 1800’s, the 1930’s, and the 1970’s.
